People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards and conformance community.

The American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) has appointed Brian Henry as director of affiliate relations. Mr. Henry will replace David Jern, who is retiring.

Prior to joining ASPE, Mr. Henry worked for many years with Patterson Pump Company in their marketing/technical services department. He has served on ASPE's Exhibitors Advisory Committee since 2002, and was the affiliate liaison to ASPE's board of directors in 2012. Mr. Henry is also a corporate representative for the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). In 2014 ASPE recognized Mr. Henry's contributions to the organization with their Peter Warshaw Service Award.

APSE, a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), is a professional organization dedicated to the training and certification of plumbing engineers and designers. The organization shares technical data and information with plumbing engineers, designers, contractors, code officials, inspectors, and manufacturers to promote the health and safety of the public.

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has named Casey Grant the executive director of the Fire Protection Research Foundation, an affiliate of NFPA that manages fire safety research to support the association's mission.

Mr. Grant has worked with the Foundation since 2007. Prior to his appointment as executive director, he was the Foundation's research director. He has also served as the secretary of the NFPA Standards Council and assistant chief engineer for almost 20 years. He is a registered professional engineer in fire protection engineering in California and Tennessee, as well as a fellow of the Society of Fire protection Engineers. Mr. Grant holds bachelor's and master's degrees in fire protection engineering.

NFPA, an ANSI member and audited designator, is a worldwide leader in fire, electrical, building, and life safety with a mission to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards on the quality of life by providing and advocating consensus codes and standards, research, training, and education.
