The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) will hold a webinar presenting an overview of the Institute's China Program, which promotes relationship-building between the U.S. and China in the areas of standards and conformance, market access, and business development. The one-hour event will take place on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 2:00 pm Eastern, and is open to all interested stakeholders. The webinar is free for ANSI members and $50 for non-members; pre-registration at this link is required for all participants.

As the coordinator of the U.S. standardization system, ANSI serves as a bridge in facilitating smoother communication and collaboration between business and government stakeholders in the U.S. and China. The ANSI China Program Webinar will provide a brief introduction to the ways in which ANSI uses its experience and contacts in China to help U.S. companies expand their activities in the Chinese market. Topics to be covered include:

  • an introduction to standards development in China, including key organizations and processes;
  • the work of ANSI's experts on the ground in China;
  • the benefits of the ANSI Manufacturer Member Roundtable in China;
  • ANSI's regular hosting of collaborative workshops with technical and policy experts from the U.S. and China;
  • the opportunity for individual outreach to meet a particular organization's needs; and
  • ANSI's work in fostering win-win solutions for American and Chinese technological and business development.

Register for the ANSI China Program Webinar.

The December event is the first in an upcoming series of webinars to be held over the next year highlighting a specific program area or initiative currently underway within ANSI. Staff experts from each program will present an overview, benefits, and opportunities for ANSI members and other stakeholders to get engaged in the activity. Subsequent webinars will be announced on ANSI.org as they are planned.
