ANSI and the Standards Press of China Sign Reciprocal Agreement to Distribute Standards

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Standards Press of China (SPC) – the publishing division of the national standards body, the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (SAC) – signed a reciprocal agreement on July 6, 2005, to distribute standards. Chinese standards will be made available soon for electronic purchase on ANSI’s electronic standards store, the eSS (; hard copies of the standards will also be made available through ANSI's reseller channel. China will distribute the ANSI collection of U.S. standards via SPC.

"We believe that signing this agreement with our Chinese partners will provide access to the Chinese standards thus aiding U.S. understanding of Chinese standardization practices and legal market requirements in China," said Bob Feghali, ANSI vice president of business development and chief information officer.

"This agreement helps to build stronger cooperation between ANSI and SAC, and we look forward to further partnership and cooperation," said Mr. Wang Xilin, vice president, SPC.
