March 31 Deadline for Member Referral Incentive Program

New York, Mar 11, 2004

The American National Standards Institute launched a Member Referral program in November 2003 as part of a series of new projects to strengthen cross-sector participation in standardization and conformity assessment activities. ANSI members with a colleague, customer, vendor, peer or friend they feel would benefit from membership in the Institute are invited to identify these prospects to ANSI’s membership team. Each prospect identified is contacted with information about the Institute and the value of ANSI membership.

As an incentive for participation, each referral submitted qualifies the referring ANSI member for an entry into a drawing for a $250 gift certificate. This drawing will be held March 31, 2004; the winner will be identified on ANSI Online and will receive their certificate by mail.

“It is only by broadening the base of participation in ANSI activities that we will be able to advance the Institute’s efforts to ensure the competitiveness of U.S. business in the global marketplace and improve the quality of life for citizens around the world,” said John Kalemkerian, ANSI vice-president of membership marketing, communications and education.

A second-round and additional chances to participate in the program and drawing will begin in April.
