ANSI Welcomes New Members

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI), a non-profit organization that administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary standardization and conformity assessment system, proudly welcomes the new members that joined the Federation during August 2003. The organizations joined the Institute under a new market-based membership structure that ties investment directly to the level of service and involvement dictated by the specific and unique needs of each member.

The new members include:

The American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (AICPCU) and the Insurance Institute of America (IIA) offer educational and professional certification to people in all segments of the property and liability insurance business.

Mills Pride Ltd Partnership produces ready-to-assemble cabinetry and furniture.

Electric Power Equipment Company provides custom and specialized electrical systems for the industrial market.

WC Wood Co. Inc. was founded in 1930 to manufacture electrical farm equipment and has been a family owned business ever since. Today, the company manufactures freezers, refrigerators, dehumidifiers, and compact kitchens.

HOIST Fitness Systems designs and manufactures strength training equipment.

Hause Machines has been serving the manufacturing industry by providing engineering solutions for manufacturing problems.

Fisher Diagnostics manufactures diagnostic products for clinical use.

Tekelec develops telecommunications signaling and switching solutions, packet-telephony infrastructure, network monitoring technology, and value-added applications.

Ycv Corporation is a wholly owned U.S. based company of the Yamatake Corporation that provides a complete package of controls, valves, and field instruments for virtually any application.

Curtis Toledo manufactures a full line of tools including: hose and pipe cut-off machines, pipe and bolt threaders, portable power drives, and hydraulic hose skivers.

SV Microwave engineers and manufactures connectors and components for the RF and Microwave industries.
