People on the Move

People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards community.

Thomas M. Barlow has been named president-elect of ASME. He will begin his one-year term in June of 2008. An ANSI member and accredited standards developer, ASME is a not-for-profit professional organization promoting the art, science and practice of mechanical and multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences.

ANSI member and accredited SDO the Automotive Lift Institute has re-elected Jerry Lentz of Challenger Lifts Inc. to a second term as chairman of the board of directors. Other board members elected during the association's annual membership meeting included: Rick Wells, Pete Liebetreu, Doug Grunnet, Jeff Kritzer, and Gary DiAngelo.

Charles Turriello has recently been elected to the board of directors of the Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standard Council (AGRSS). An ANSI-accredited standards developer, AGRSS has developed ANSI/AGRSS 002-2002, North America’s only auto glass replacement standard.
