Standards at Your Fingertips: ANSI Re-launches Webstore.ansi.org

11/07/2018

New Webstore Offers Better Functionality, Findability, and Purchase Options

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) announces the launch of webstore.ansi.org, a new version of the popular ANSI webstore for standards that delivers an enhanced search engine, simplified navigation, and pre-defined collections of standards for specific applications. Users can now search an extensive database of standards from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and more than 100 ANSI-accredited and other standards developers.

Many users familiar with the prior version of the webstore will recognize easier access to regular features like industry news, RSS feeds, and automatic alerting. Users will notice a speed improvement and an improved mobile experience.

Manufacturing firms, software engineers, agricultural concerns, construction firms, food service companies, corporate librarians, and others can buy standards that pertain to every sector of the economy and can gain competitive advantage by adhering to standards for their products and services. Buyers interested in particular topics can save time and money by browsing or searching for exclusive standards packages, which conveniently group related documents. Subscriptions provide access to standards for multiple users.

"Access to standards has never been easier, due to the enhanced search functionality," said Bob Russotti, ANSI senior director of online marketing. "ANSI webstore users can now easily filter their search results for the most current or historical standards, search by document number or keyword, and use a browsing function to find individual publishers."

Other features of the new ANSI webstore include a preview function that allows users to preview the table of contents and front matter of a standard and any revision history, which supports easier identification of the proper document. Purchase options include single downloads, printing, and additional pricing for subscriptions or bundled packages of standards.
