Registration Now Open for the ANSI Annual Conference and World Standards Week Events

September 9 set as early registration deadline

New York, Aug 12, 2005

Registration is now open for the ANSI Annual Conference – "From A to Veeck: Standardization and the Law" – and the many other events scheduled during the 2005 World Standards Week celebration in Washington, DC, this October. A 10% discount on selected events will be applied to all registrations received by September 9, 2005 (5:00 pm Eastern). All advance registrations must be received by September 23, 2005 (5:00 pm Eastern).

Meetings of the ANSI Company (CMF), Organizational (OMF) and Consumer Interest Forums (CIF).

ANSI Annual Business Meeting and Luncheon
Wednesday, October 5, 2005 12:00 - 2:00 pm
Held in conjunction with the ANSI Member Forum meetings, this luncheon is free for ANSI members. Brief reports from the Chairman of the Board and the ANSI President and CEO will be presented.

ANSI Annual Awards Reception, Banquet and Ceremony
Wednesday, October 5, 2005 6:00 - 9:30 pm
Join in an elegant (black-tie optional) evening celebration as ANSI honors the 2005 recipients of its leadership and service awards.

ANSI Annual Conference: From A to Veeck — Standardization and the Law
Thursday, October 6, 2005 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
From inception to implementation, the law in some way influences every stage in the life of a standard. The 2005 ANSI Annual Conference will provide an opportunity for anyone involved in the standards process, lawyers and non-lawyers alike, to get up to speed on the legal issues impacting their work.

Accreditation of Personnel Certification: Facilitating Trade in Services Around the World
Thursday, October 6, 2005 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
This one-day summit will explain how personnel certification activities around the world are impacting U.S. credentialing programs and why the activities are so important. Learn what is happening and who the players are on the global scene.

U.S. Celebration of World Standards Day
Thursday, October 6, 2005 5:30 - 9:30 pm
The U.S. celebration, which includes an exhibition, reception and dinner focused on the theme Improving Safety and Security through standards, will be held at the Ronald Regan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC.
