People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards and conformance community.

MHI, a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has named Brian Reaves its executive vice president.

Mr. Reaves joins MHI with over 25 years of experience in the material handling industry. Prior to assuming this position, he was the founder and CEO of Integrated Warehouse Systems, where he developed an extensive portfolio of material handling solutions. He has also served as the Mayor of the Village of Lemont, Illinois, as well as a village trustee.

"Brian has a unique and impressive background that is a perfect fit to meet the demands of MHI's growing business model," said George W. Prest, MHI's chief executive officer. "His experience will be a tremendous asset to MHI as we continue to advance our efforts to increase member value as well as increase the awareness of the value of our members' solutions to the greater manufacturing, supply chain, and business community."


The Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has announced several additions to its team. These new hires will expand the expertise of the organization's environment and sustainability, public sector, and global policy teams.

Erica Logan is one of ITI's new directors of environment and sustainability. In this role, she will oversee international chemicals issues, including environmentally responsible value chain initiatives. Previously, Ms. Logan was the sustainability program manager and EHS regulatory affairs manager at Xerox.

Alexandria McBride also joined ITI as director of environment and sustainability. She will focus on developing and advocating positions on domestic and international policies as they relate to energy efficiency and environmental priorities. Prior to assuming this position, Ms. McBride coordinated the re-launch of the Tishman Environment and Design Center, an academic hub that seeks to solve environmental issues through design, policy, and social justice approaches.

Jonathan Clifford was appointed director for national security at ITI's public sector division ITAPS. In this role, he will work towards consensus on information technology policies, system procurement and utilization, and force structure and budget authorities between business, the Department of Defense, and the intelligence community. Previously, Mr. Clifford was a senior policy advisor to Rep. Frank A. LoBiondo (R-N.J.) and a legislative aide to Rep. Jon Runyan (R-N.J.).

Cody Ankeny is ITI's new global policy manager, digital trade and forced localization. He will support ITI's initiatives surrounding digital trade, forced localization, and internet governance. Previously, Mr. Ankeny served as a combat engineer officer in the United States Marine Corps.

Sana Ali was appointed the position of global manager for cybersecurity and privacy issues. In this role, Ms. Ali will address security and privacy matters. Prior to joining the organization, Ms. Ali was an Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) NextGen fellow, where she examined the human rights implications of intellectual property regimes on the internet.
