People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards community. The Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI), an organizational member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced the appointment of Kim Michael-Lee as chief financial officer. Ms. Michael-Lee will lead all financial and accounting functions for CRSI. Previously, Ms. Michael-Lee was the chief financial officer and director of business and financial services with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), where she was responsible for both the financial and operations areas of the association. Prior to joining AVMA, she worked as the chief financial officer and vice president of finance, administration, IT, and HR for the Greater Illinois Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. She also served as the chief financial officer for the American Academy of Pediatrics and for Family Support America. Ms. Michael-Lee received a B.S. in finance, accounting, and economics from Northern Illinois University, an MBA in financial management from Illinois Benedictine College, and is a Certified Public Accountant CRSI is a trade association serving the construction markets in North America. CRSI members are manufacturers, fabricators, and placers of steel reinforcing bar and related products, and professionals who are involved in the research, design, and construction of reinforced concrete.
