AIHA Announces Annual Conference for June 2012
The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), a member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), will host the annual American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Expo (AIHce) on June 16-21, in Indianapolis.

The event will bring together professionals in the industrial hygiene and environmental health and safety (EHS) field to participate in engaging general sessions, innovative technical sessions, and comprehensive professional development courses. The advance registration deadline is May 30.

WSC Launches World Standards Day 2012 Poster Competition
The World Standards Day 2012 poster competition has launched with the theme, Less waste, better results - Standards increase efficiency. The competition is organized by the World Standards Cooperation (WSC), a cooperative alliance of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

The designer(s) of the best poster will win 1,500 Swiss francs, with three runners-up receiving 500 Swiss francs each. Finalists will be chosen by representatives of the WSC. The shortlisted entries will be published on the WSC website, and the general public will be invited to vote on the selected designs from May 14 - 18.

CSA Applies for TAG Accreditation on Natural Gas Fueling Stations
CSA Standards has submitted an application for accreditation for a proposed U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) to ISO Technical Committee (TC) 252, Project Committee: Natural gas fueling stations for vehicles, and a request for formal approval as TAG Administrator. The U.S. TAG to ISO TC 252 intends to operate using the Model Operating Procedures for U.S. Technical Advisory Groups to ANSI for ISO Activities as contained in Annex A of the ANSI International Procedures.
