People on the Move

7/24/2020

People on the Move highlights the career advancements of high-level trailblazers working professionally in diverse areas of standardization, contributing every day to the strength and success of the U.S. standards and conformance community.

The American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced that Donna Grogan is its new executive director. She assumed the position on June 15, 2020.

Ms. Grogan has more than 20 years of experience in non-profit healthcare foundations, where she increased organizations' global footprints while serving in executive positions. Prior positions include senior vice president and vice president of development and funding for the Lupus Foundation of America, and vice president of business development for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She has had notable successes in fundraising programs and is highly experienced in organizational leadership, management, and leadership training and development.

Hargrove & Associates, Inc., (HAI), a subsidiary of ANSI member the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), has appointed Brian Seebacher as chief executive officer and chief technical officer. He succeeds Claire Hargrove, who has stepped down as president but remains at HAI as an executive advisor through the end of 2020. Mr. Seebacher will assume the title of president as well in January 2021.

Mr. Seebacher has been with HAI since 1997, most recently serving as vice president and chief technology officer. He is the organization's lead developer on iSTAT, the system that collects and publishes critical market benchmarks for AEM member companies. He has held various other roles at HAI in technical, development, and consulting capacities, working with software and development, IT systems design and implementation, database modeling, information security, and business continuity/disaster recovery.

"Brian's promotion is a testament to his leadership and the importance of the work he's done to grow and develop HAI over the years," said AEM president Dennis Slater. "We also want to thank Claire for her years of service, and for her diligent efforts in deepening the 30-plus-year working relationship between AEM and HAI."
