People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards and conformance community.
The Accredited Standards Committee X9 Inc (X9), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced that Angela Hendershott was elected to be vice chair of the Board of Directors.
Ms. Hendershoot is an executive leader for Deluxe Corp., where she serves the payments industry and its stakeholders. She has been involved with international and domestic standards adoption for many years, promoting the use of standards in areas from oversight of engineering operations to best practices in the marketplace. Ms. Hendershoot has been on the X9 Board of Directors since 2011, representing Deluxe, and also serves as chair of its finance committee.
The Water Quality Association (WQA), an ANSI member, has appointed Scott Parker as its new associate executive director. In this position, Mr. Parker will oversee the marketing and communications, business development, events, and membership departments.
Mr. Parker comes to WQA from APICS, an association for the supply chain and logistics industries. There, he was director of membership and career services. He has held senior roles in both trade and professional organizations in marketing, meetings and events, and member services.
"We're delighted that Scott has joined WQA," said deputy executive director Pauli Undesser. "Scott is an innovative, collaborative, results?oriented leader with over 15 years of senior level experience in management, business development, and working with nonprofit boards."
