The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute announced that John Clark has resigned as president and CEO.

Marv Nelson has been appointed interim president and CEO until Mr. Clark’s successor is found.

A seasoned professional of the cable telecommunications industry, Mr. Nelson is SCTE vice president for professional development. He joined the SCTE staff in 1991.

Carmiña Londoño began earlier this month a yearlong assignment as the program director for the Americas Program at the Office of International Science and Engineering (OISE) of the National Science Foundation (NSF).

In this role, Ms. Londoño will interact closely with foreign governments, other governmental agencies and scientific counterparts to facilitate international research collaborations that benefit U.S. competitiveness and the U.S. scientific community.

Prior to this assignment, Ms. Londoño led the Global Standards and Information Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

NSF International, an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, announced the appointment of Petie Davis to business unit manager of NSF’s Sustainability Programs.

In her new role, Ms. Davis will help to expand NSF’s sustainability programs and will also develop business strategies for NSF’s initiatives related to sustainability.

With more than ten years of service at NSF International, she previously served as business unit manager of Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) Services. An environmental professional for more than twenty years, Ms. Davis has held a variety of positions, including compliance and management systems auditor, consultant, manager, field scientist and trainer.
