The American National Standards Institute (ANSI), together with the Standardization Administration of China (SAC), are jointly organizing an industry roundtable focusing on enterprise standards in Hangzhou, China, on July 17, 2018. This industry roundtable will be the cornerstone of ANSI President and CEO S. Joe Bhatia's trip to China, with Dr. Tian Shihong, Vice Minister of the newly established State Administration of Market Regulation (SAMR) and Administrator of SAC,also scheduled to participate.
This event provides an important platform for ANSI member companies to share their perspectives and concerns on "enterprise standards" directly to the relevant Chinese stakeholders as well as enhance their understanding of the concept of "enterprise standards" as it is captured in the revised PRC Standardization Law. It is also an opportunity for the American and Chinese industries to discuss the latest developments in China's standardization reform, and identify possible opportunities and challenges in the implementation of China's enterprise standards.
The roundtable is scheduled for Tuesday, July 17 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the JW Marriot Hangzhou, and is open to all ANSI members and interested stakeholders. A draft agenda is available via ANSI's Sharepoint library and includes presentations by ANSI members that responded to an earlier call for speakers.
