SES to Host Webinar on Standards Professional Certification
SES - The Society for Standards Professionals, an ANSI member, will host a webinar introducing the SES certification program.
"Standards Professional Certification: Why, How, When!" will be held on May 23 from 1-2:30pm ET. Attendees will learn:
-The benefits of pursing a professional certification
-How to apply for the SES certification program, including examples of qualifying events and courses
-When and where to receive in-person application assistance
The webinar will feature panelists Lee Webster, director of operations for the UTMB Healthcare Management Initiative and chair of the SES Certification Committee, and Erik Puskar, senior standards specialist within the Standards Coordination Office (SCO) at the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) and vice-chair of the SES Certification Committee.

WDMA Offers Free On-Demand Webinars for CE Credits
The Window & Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has five free Architectural Door webinars that stakeholders can complete to earn continuing education credits from the Door and Hardware Institute, the American Institute of Architects, and the International Code Council.
The recorded webinars, which can be accessed on-demand, take about 20 minutes to complete, including an online quiz. The topics available are:

New NIBS Resources Guide Off-Site Construction Methods
The National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS), an ANSI member, has developed three new implementation resources through its Off-Site Construction Council (OSCC). These resources were designed to help industry professionals to better understand and implement off-site construction methods.
"Getting the Most Out of Off-Site Construction: Steps for Success" offers a step-by-step approach to help stakeholders overcome barriers and follow a process for the deployment of an effective off-site construction project.
"Using Precast Concrete as an Off-Site Construction Strategy" examines the reduction in the number of trade-to-trade coordination points on site, addresses standards and certifications, considers the impact to construction schedules, and offers case studies, among other topics covered.
"The Rise of Modular Construction: Emerging Commercial and Legal Considerations" addresses some of the challenges of using off-site construction methods, including building codes, licensing requirements, maintaining project methods, insurance, and more.

New WQA Video Outlines Steps for Safer Drinking Water During Floods
The Water Quality Association (WQA), an ANSI member, has developed a new video providing ways that consumers can assure a safer water supply during severe weather season.
As hurricane season approaches, consumers face increased risks associated with floodwater. Floodwater can carry chemicals, sewage, and other contaminants, leading to groundwater contamination. The video offers five quick tips to follow during flooding, or if power outages affect water filtration systems. They include watching for boil alerts from municipal water sources and inspecting equipment such as water softeners for possible contamination.
