ANSI Reporter Accepting Editorial Contributions, Advertising

New York, Feb 24, 2003

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) announced a call for contributions to the forthcoming 2003 issues of the ANSI Reporter, the Institute’s quarterly newsmagazine. The ANSI Reporter also includes advertising space – both display and classified – at competitive rates.

“The Winter 2003 issue of the Reporter is the result of a redesign of the magazine, based on feedback from our membership,” explained Stacy Leistner, ANSI’s director of public relations and communications. “We have expanded our editorial coverage to include more feature articles, with an enhanced effort to incorporate contributions from our constituents. Advertising in the magazine is also a valuable way for companies and organizations to get their promotional message to leading members of the standards community.”

The magazine discusses topics of interest to the global standards and conformity assessment community, providing reports and updates on the latest in standards news and activities domestically and around the world. The magazine welcomes editorial input from outside contributors, which must follow the Institute’s Editorial Guidelines. The Spring 2003 issue will center on the theme of Homeland Security, the Summer 2003 edition will address Consumer Interest, and the Fall 2003 issue will serve as a 2003 World Standards Week wrap-up.

Paid advertisements can be submitted now for publication in the Spring 2003 issue (deadline of March 10, 2003). Display advertisers have a wide choice of sizes, from inside back cover and full-page ads to quarter pages and half columns with the option of including color and graphics. Classified advertisements are based on a per-line rate (restrictions apply). Advertising costs for both display and classified ads are competitive with similar industry publications. Advertising Guidelines are available online.

For more information about placing an advertisement, contact or call 212.642. 4931. The ANSI Reporter is sent free of charge to ANSI members and available electronically via password from the ANSI website. Non-members may subscribe to the publication for $100 per year for four issues.
