JEDEC Releases New Edition of Solid State Technology Dictionary
The JEDEC Solid State Technology Association, an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, recently announced the publication of the sixth edition of its Dictionary of Terms for Solid State Technology. The dictionary, also known as JESD88E, is intended to promote the uniform use of definitions, terms, symbols, and other relevant vocabulary related to the solid state industry, while also providing value as a reference work to technical writers and other professionals.

The new edition - which was assembled by JEDEC's JC-10 Committee on Terms, Definitions, and Symbols - features terms and definitions taken from 14 standards developed following the 2010 publication of the dictionary's fifth edition, as well as updated information connected to 26 other publications. The dictionary now contains more than 3,000 entries, as well as an annex providing information on source publications used to create the document.

JESD88E is available for download free of charge. A searchable online version of the dictionary is also available.
