ANSI Offices Closed Due to Inclement Weather on Eastern Seaboard

New York and Washington, DC, Feb 18, 2003

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) closed its New York City and Washington, DC offices today due to inclement weather.

Clean up continued across the Northeast following Monday's winter storm that buried the region in 2 to 4 feet of snow. Reports indicated that Washington Dulles International Airport received more than 24 inches and New York City's Central Park marked nearly 20 inches — the largest recorded amount since 1996 and the fourth heaviest snowfall on record.
