ANSI to Lead NASDAQ Market Open Ceremony on Tuesday, April 7, 2009


New York, Apr 03, 2009

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is pleased to announce that it will lead the NASDAQ market open ceremony on April 7, 2009, in New York City. The ceremony, including the ringing of the opening bell and a speech by ANSI president and CEO S. Joe Bhatia, will be broadcast live from NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square to millions of viewers worldwide.

NASDAQ MarketSite houses a state-of-the-art digital broadcast studio that transmits approximately 100 live market updates to a host of networks including CNBC, Bloomberg TV, Reuters, NDTV Profit, CNBD India, Business Week TV, and other financial networks. ANSI’s participation will be broadcast through these venues.

Individuals interested in watching the live broadcast should tune in to any of the above listed networks at 9:20 a.m. Eastern on Tuesday, April 7. The opening bell will be rung at 9:30.
