ANSI Wishes Its Members a Safe, Happy and Successful New Year

Washington, DC & New York, Dec 31, 2002

On this, the last day of 2002, the ANSI staff would like to take this opportunity to thank our members for their support during the past year.

Among the accomplishments of 2002, we promoted the principles embodied within the U.S. National Standards Strategy - thereby advancing the importance of standards through domestic and international education and outreach. Together, we successfully developed the new U.S. National Conformity Assessment Principles document; strengthened relationships with federal, state and local government agencies, and worked to protect the interests of consumers. The approval and implementation of a new membership policy and approval of a revision to the Institute’s By-laws will usher in a value-added membership recruitment process, a more streamlined governance process, and new opportunities for greater member participation in policy-making and related activities. We believe that these efforts have laid the groundwork for continued success in the New Year.

We would like to extend our best wishes for a safe, happy and successful 2003. We are always open to your suggestions on ways to improve our services.

Happy New Year!
