ANSI-Accredited U.S. TAGs to ISO Called to Confirm Compliance with ANSI’s International Procedures

Compliance Forms and Outstanding Annual Reports Due August 1, 2006

New York, Jun 19, 2006

On behalf of the ANSI Executive Standards Council (ExSC), the American National Standards Institute’s (ANSI) Procedures and Standards Administration (PSA) department has announced the issuance of the 2006 Compliance Form for ANSI-Accredited U.S. Technical Advisory Groups (TAG) to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The form must be completed by all ANSI-Accredited TAG Administrators to indicate compliance with the ANSI Procedures for the U.S. Participation in the International Standards Activities of ISO (a.k.a. the ANSI International Procedures). The May 2005 edition of the ANSI International Procedures remains in effect and was not revised during 2005.

Completion of the 2006 Compliance Form and submittal of it to the PSA department is due on or before August 1, 2006.

Final Call for 2005 Annual Reports
A final call has been issued to ANSI-Accredited U.S. TAGs to ISO for submittal of the requisite 2005 TAG Annual Report. TAG Administrators are reminded that as per section of the ANSI International Procedures, an annual report for each U.S. TAG (and any separately accredited sub-committee or working group) is to be submitted to ANSI no later than January 31 of each year. This Annual Report is a requirement of accreditation by ANSI and is to contain the following:

  • brief summary of activities and meetings that took place during 2005;
  • a list of any problems encountered during the past year in the functioning of the US TAG or US TAG administration, and any areas in which the US TAG administrator requires assistance by ANSI;
  • a current TAG membership list including the names and interest classifications of the individuals and alternates (as applicable) and their addresses and business affiliations including names of organizations they are representing on the U.S. TAG;
  • certification that the TAG has been, and continues to be, operating in a manner that complies with all applicable ANSI and ISO procedures.
Please submit any outstanding reports to no later than August 1, 2006.
