ANSI-HSSP Plenary Meeting April 29-30 in Falls Church, VA

The Homeland Security Standards Panel of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI-HSSP) will hold its Second Plenary Meeting on April 29-30 in Falls Church, VA. The meeting will bring together ANSI-HSSP participants and affected stakeholders to review the progress of the panel and other related homeland security standards initiatives.

Presentations will be made by key speakers from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the federal 9-11 Commission, and the U.S. General Accounting Office (GAO), as well as leaders from other homeland security related fields.

During a special reception the evening of April 29, Dr. Mark Hurwitz, president and CEO of ANSI, will present a recommendation from the ANSI workshops on private sector emergency preparedness and business continuity to the 9-11 Commission. The recommendation will be presented to the Honorable Lee H. Hamilton, vice-chair of the 9-11 Commission.
