Advance Registration Deadline for ANSI Events is Friday, September 23

The American National Standards Institute wishes to remind its members and constituents that all advance registrations for the 2005 World Standards Week events are due by Friday, September 23 (5:00 pm Eastern). On-site registration is subject to availability.

Registration is required for all events, including those with no attendance fee.

October 5

  • The ANSI Member Forum meetings allow ANSI member representatives to network and address issues of mutual interest.

  • The ANSI Annual Business Meeting and Luncheon will feature presentations by the chairman of the ANSI Board of Directors and the ANSI president and CEO. They will share with the ANSI membership their assessment of the past year and provide an overview of ANSI’s pursuits and milestones.

  • Rather than the traditional Joint Member Forum Meeting, all ANSI members are invited to attend a free seminar presented by Kavi Corporation, Updegrove LLP, Virtual Management and Jennings Strouse Salmon: Standard Setting in a Changing World - The growing influence of Europe and Asia.

  • The ANSI Annual Awards Banquet and Ceremony is a long-standing tradition that recognizes and honors the creativity, dedication and vision of those individuals who contribute to and participate in the U.S. and global voluntary standards-setting and conformity assessment activities.

October 6

  • The 2005 ANSI Annual Conference, From A to Veeck: Standardization and the Law, will provide an opportunity for anyone involved in the standards process, lawyers and non-lawyers alike, to get up to speed on the legal issues impacting their work.

  • The ANSI Accreditation of Personnel Certification Conference: Facilitating Trade in Services Around the World aims to prepare certification organizations, certificants, and members for the global economy’s trend toward labor offshoring and the mobility of workers.

  • The U.S. Celebration of World Standards Day includes exhibits, a reception and dinner at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. ASME president Richard E. Feigel will serve as honorary chairman.

October 3-7
