NAM and NAPRA Announce Webinar Series on Recycled Plastics
The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), an ANSI member, and the North American Plastics Recycling Alliance (NAPRA), whose partners include ANSI members the Plastics Industry Association, the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA), and the American Chemistry Council (ACC), are collaborating to develop a series of webinars on recycled plastics.

The three-part series will provide manufacturers with tools and resources that can help them increase use of recycled plastic in spite of the challenges associated with meeting recycled content goals. Listeners will hear about these challenges, both real and perceived, and learn about real-world solutions.

The first webinar will discuss aligning procurement and sustainability goals, as well as procurement and supply challenges that come with increased use of recycled plastics. It will be held on December 6 from 2 to 3 pm EST.

Register for the free webinar and learn more about the series here.

SAIA Publishes Free Safety Tips, Tools, and Guidelines
The Scaffold & Access Industry Association (SAIA), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, offers free safety-related downloads on its website for all interested stakeholders.

The organization's OSHA Safety Tips were developed through collaboration between the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and SAIA to provide those in the construction industry with information and access to training materials on safety and health hazards related to mast climbing scaffolding and aerial lift equipment. Additional guidelines were developed by SAIA and the Scaffold, Shoring and Forming Institute (SSFI) on safely erecting, dismantling, and using equipment, and can be posted at job sites for convenient reference.

See SAIA's website to access all safety guides at no cost.

PPFA Offers Free Access to Industry Consensus Documents on Plastic Piping Systems
The Plastic Pipe and Fittings Association (PPFA), an ANSI member, has numerous free documents on the installation and use of plastic piping systems available for online viewing or download.

Documents provide a range of information on topics including different kinds of plastic piping, green building technologies, and fire sprinklers, among others.
