April Caucus to Feature Gary Kushnier, ANSI VP of International Policy

On Friday, April 13, 2007, the ANSI Caucus will feature Mr. Gary Kushnier, ANSI vice president of international policy. Mr. Kushnier will update the caucus on key regional and international standards initiatives underway within the Institute.

Mr. Kushnier has primary responsibility for overall liaison and policy coordination of ANSI’s activities with international and regional organizations such the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC), the European Organization for Testing and Certification (EOTC), the Pacific Area Standards Congress (PASC), and the Pan American Standards Commission (COPANT), as well as their national member bodies.

Prior to his current appointment in 1995, Mr. Kushnier served as vice president of ANSI’s Brussels Office, where he worked closely with various European standards organizations during the formation of the European Union.

The April Caucus event will be held in the Lisagor Room at the National Press Club in Washington, DC ( 529 14th Street, NW). The event will begin at 12:00 pm with general networking; lunch will be served promptly at 12:30 pm. ANSI Caucus luncheons are generally held on the first Friday of each month and are free to ANSI members.
