Agenda for Upcoming HSSP Plenary Now Available

9/27/2010
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Homeland Security Standards Panel (HSSP) has released an agenda for its ninth annual plenary, which will be held November 9-10, 2010, in Arlington, VA. This year's meeting will focus on standards for aviation, border and maritime security, crisis management, and global supply chain security.

The ANSI-HSSP Plenary provides the unique opportunity for the homeland security, emergency preparedness, and business continuity communities (public sector, private sector, and standards developing organizations) to come together to discuss current issues and challenges, strategic approaches, recent successes, and future outlooks. Feedback from past plenary meetings has cited not only the useful information sharing and dialogue during the formal program, but also the valuable networking and connections established for future collaboration.

This year's plenary will feature five panels: Aviation Security Standardization; Borders and Maritime Security Standardization; Conformity Assessment Systems; Global Supply Chain Security Standardization; and Crisis Management Standardization. Leaders, experts, federal agencies, standards developers, and other relevant stakeholders from both the U.S. and Europe will convene to share information related to these subjects to develop a gap analysis and identify what is working and what may not be working to the extent desired.

The event will be held at the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, VA. A discounted room rate of $209 (plus tax) is being offered by the Sheraton. To make your reservations, please call1-888-627-8210 or click here. To register for the event, click here. Please note that registration closes on November 1, 2010.

Sponsorship opportunities for this year's plenary are available. The $2,000 sponsorship includes a 6-foot tabletop display space, a banner ad on the ANSI-HSSP Plenary website, premium signage, and a company logo on plenary meeting materials, as well as other advantages.

Questions regarding this event or sponsorship can be directed to Karen Hughes, ANSI director of homeland security standards ([email protected]).
