The ANSI Reporter is a quarterly news magazine discussing topics of interest to the global standards and conformity assessment community. The Spring 2003 issue is themed around the subject of homeland security and emergency preparedness. The standards community, including many of ANSI’s members in the private and public sectors, have been involved in accelerating, coordinating, developing and promoting standards in such homeland security-related areas as transportation, biometrics, cyber security, and interoperability of emergency-response equipment. An exploration of these activities, and many others, are included in this issue’s special section, entitled “Safe At Home.”
The magazine is sent free of charge to ANSI members and available electronically via password from ANSI Online. Non-members may subscribe to the publication for $100 per year for four issues. Please contact ANSI for more information about obtaining a subscription or placing an advertisement.
