International Standards for Non-sewered Sanitation

ANSI Sanitation engages with national standards bodies (NSBs) and key government, NGO, and private-sector water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) partners in Africa, South Asia, and China to promote the adoption and use of international non-sewered sanitation standards (primarily ISO 30500 and ISO 24521).

ANSI Sanitation works with intergovernmental unions (Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and Southern African Development Community (SADC)), regional standard organizations (African Organisation for Standardisation (ARSO) and Southern Asian Regional Standards Organization (SARSO)) and NSBs to review ISO standards and conduct trainings and awareness-building workshops.

Visit sanitation.ansi.org to learn more about this initiative, and view resources and reinvented toilet technologies in development.
