effective as possible, ANSI has compiled a list of frequently asked questions
with information for U.S. TAG members, leaders, and other stakeholders.
Questions cover accessing, voting on, and commenting on ISO committee documents
and ballots; U.S. experts joining ISO Working Groups (WGs); U.S. TAG members
attending ISO committee meetings; and more.
As the U.S. member body to ISO, ANSI seeks comments by May 26. The scope of the activity
includes management services, effectiveness assessments, testing and analysis,
and other related standards involved in the process of monitoring and
forecasting; prevention and control; and emergency measures in integrated pest
management for crops (IPM).
The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) of the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) is requesting public comments by June 10 on artificial intelligence (AI) system accountability measures and policies. Additionally, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)’s Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) has announced the upcoming publication of proposed rules for developers of AI used in health care who seek HHS certification; comments will be accepted until June 17.
The Standards Alliance: Phase 2—a public-private partnership
program between ANSI and the U.S. Agency for International Development
(USAID)—held the final session of its Cosmetics Standardization Web-series in
coordination with the African Organization for Standardization and Personal
Care Products Council.
