Integrated Pest Management for Crops: ANSI Seeks Comments on Proposal for New ISO Field of Technical Activity

As the U.S. member body to ISO, ANSI seeks comments by May 26. The scope of the activity includes management services, effectiveness assessments, testing and analysis, and other related standards involved in the process of monitoring and forecasting; prevention and control; and emergency measures in integrated pest management for crops (IPM).

DOC/NTIA and HHS/ONC Request Public Comments Related to Artificial Intelligence

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) of the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) is requesting public comments by June 10 on artificial intelligence (AI) system accountability measures and policies. Additionally, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)’s Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) has announced the upcoming publication of proposed rules for developers of AI used in health care who seek HHS certification; comments will be accepted until June 17.

Standards Alliance Phase 2 Convenes Final Virtual Cosmetics Standardization Web-Series 

The Standards Alliance: Phase 2—a public-private partnership program between ANSI and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)—held the final session of its Cosmetics Standardization Web-series in coordination with the African Organization for Standardization and Personal Care Products Council.
