World Standards Day, celebrated annually by nations around the globe, recognizes the critical role of diverse contributors to the success and impact of standardization. U.S. activities are organized by a planning committee of representatives from across the U.S. standards and conformity assessment community. ANSI and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) are standing co-chairs of the committee, and each year a different committee member serves as the administrating organization for the event.
