Calling All ANSI Members: Join the U.S.-Korea Standards Dialogue and Open Forum in December

ANSI and the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) will co-host the 2021 U.S.-Korea Standards Dialogue and Open Forum on December 1-2. Guest experts will share insights on standards development, technology trends, and market demands, while exploring opportunities for collaboration between the U.S. and South Korea.

Registration Open: ANSI Virtual Workshop on Data Standardization as Building Blocks for AI in Healthcare

Join the AI conversation: ANSI invites interested stakeholders to a virtual workshop, "Data Standardization as Building Blocks for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Healthcare," to be held as a two-part session, on November 30, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET and December 1, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET. The workshop agenda is now available on the event webpage.

December 8 AMSC Virtual Event on Additive Manufacturing Standardization to Highlight Inspection/Monitoring to Meet Regulatory Requirements

Registration is now open for an American Makes and ANSI virtual event on Inspection/Monitoring to Meet Regulatory Requirements: Additive Manufacturing (AM) Standardization. The draft agenda highlights a session on applied research, industry standards, guidance documents, and/or conformance programs to meet regulatory requirements of additively manufactured parts.

Lori Gillespie, ANAB Vice President, Elected as IAF Vice Chair

ANSI congratulates Lori Gillesepie of the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), for her election as vice chair of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF). Her term began November 5, 2021.

Submit Feedback on a Low-Carbon Hydrogen International Standard

ANSI encourages stakeholders to respond to an Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) survey on a low-carbon hydrogen international standard by December 6, 2021. The survey covers the scope of an international standard, approaches to developing the international standard, and options for certifying the low-carbon credentials of hydrogen products.

ANAB to Host November 19 Webinar on Cannabis Certificate Accreditation Program

As part of its long-term effort to support safety, quality, and health for consumers and the global economy as the cannabis industry expands, ANAB, a wholly owned subsidiary of ANSI, will hold an informational session on November 19 highlighting its new Cannabis Certificate Accreditation Program.

Intelligent Training Systems for Vehicle Driving: ANSI Seeks Comments on Proposed New ISO Standard

An intelligent driving training system uses multi-sensor information fusion and human-computer interaction functions to provide training guidance. As the U.S. member body to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), ANSI seeks comments on a proposal for a new ISO standard on intelligent training systems for vehicle driving submitted by SAC, the national standards body for China. Provide input by December 31, 2021.

FDA Seeks Experts on Medical Device Manufacturing Practices

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is seeking five experts on medical device manufacturing practices to participate in FDA’s Device Good Manufacturing Practice Advisory Committee next year.
