Young and Emerging Professionals Virtual Session on How to Make an Impact on Electrotechnology Standardization

Influence the future of electrotechnology standardization: the U.S. National Committee (USNC) Young and Emerging Professionals (YEP) committee will host a free webinar, Young and Emerging Professionals: How to Become Involved in the USNC & IEC, on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. EDT.

The webinar will focus on steps that young and emerging professionals working in standards and conformity assessment can take to become involved with the USNC and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The session will highlight the USNC 2021 IEC Young Professionals Competition and the USNC Mentoring Program. Previous IEC Young Professionals Programme participants and a USNC Mentoring Program protégé will share insights on each of the programs.

ANSI and USNC members are encouraged to share this invitation with their young and emerging colleagues. Registration is available via the WebEx event page.

Contact Adelana Gladstein, USNC/IEC program manager at [email protected] with any questions.

About the USNC

A committee of ANSI, the USNC serves as the focal point for U.S. parties who are interested in the development, promulgation, and use of globally-relevant standards for the electrotechnical industry. The Committee is also engaged in the assessment of conformance to standards, undertaking work in areas such as testing, certification, and accreditation.

As the U.S. representative to the IEC and many related regional standardization bodies, the USNC is a conduit to the global standards-setting community for technical and policy positions arising in the U.S. and brings issues from the global arena to the U.S. for review, consideration, and response. Strong U.S. participation in the IEC is critical to national competitiveness and the continued growth and innovation in U.S. electrotechnical industries.
