10/27/2021

Report released during ANSI’s Annual Business Meeting during World Standards Week

The 2020-2021 Annual Report from the American National Standards Institute is now available. The report spotlights the ANSI Federation’s key initiatives and accomplishments over the past year, provides a look at activities on the horizon, and documents the financial activities of the Institute during 2020.

The report was released during ANSI’s Annual Business Meeting on October 27, as part of the World Standards Week 2021 virtual events.

This year’s report provides insights on how standardization is helping to drive and define emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, and digital twin technologies, among others. It also highlights activities to strengthen the public-private partnership, increase consumer engagement, and expand education and training opportunities in standardization. Reflecting the virtual nature of the world today, the annual report is digital, with interactive links to videos and resources for extra insights about the activities of ANSI and its affiliates.

“The past year has demonstrated more than ever before just how effectively the standards community steps up to meet challenges and build a better world,” noted Joe Bhatia, ANSI president and CEO. “From the challenges we’re facing on this planet, to new opportunities beyond, standards have an essential role in innovation, U.S. competitiveness, and quality of life, and ANSI is proud to support that progress.”

ANSI’s 2020-2021 Annual Report is available online and will be distributed electronically to ANSI member contacts.
