Lawrence J. Lynch of National Restaurant Association Joins Workcred Board of Directors

Workcred, an affiliate of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) focused on advancing quality workforce credentials, is pleased to announce that Lawrence J. Lynch has joined the Workcred board of directors for a three-year term, effective immediately.

Lynch, a Certified Association Executive (CAE), represents the National Restaurant Association in efforts related to food safety and science, as well as the development and delivery of the Association’s broad array of accredited credentials. As the Association’s senior vice president of health, safety, and regulatory services, he is responsible for program accreditation, food safety compliance coordination at the state level, food safety and science thought leadership, health and safety product management, and food safety instructor quality.

Additionally, Lynch is president of the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals (NRFSP), which became a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Restaurant Association in 2016. NRFSP offers food safety manager certifications in accordance with multiple standards. He has been active in the Global Food Safety Initiative and is a subject matter expert, helping to develop ISO standard 22003, which includes the rules applicable for the audit and certifications of a food safety management system.

Lynch also supports Workcred through participation in its Credentialing Body Advisory Council, a Workcred council that serves as a conduit for information flow among the credentialing community, industry, education bodies, workforce development groups, other stakeholders, and Workcred.
