The ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) has opened registration for its webinar on Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) scheduled for February 23, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. EST. Keith Klemm, accreditation manager, ANAB, will lead the session, intended for anyone who wants to understand the effect GLP has on their programs.
About Good Laboratory Practices
Laboratories conducting activities in medical devices or pharmaceutical testing are often required to meet GLP by their customers. However, there are no current governmental programs available to the laboratories that can monitor and provide testament that the laboratory adheres to GLP principles.
ANAB offers a program for laboratories currently accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017, General Requirements For The Competence Of Testing And Calibration Laboratories, that recognizes laboratories that are compliant to Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 58, Good Laboratory Practice for Nonclinical Laboratory Studies.
ANAB’s program is intended to support laboratories and their customers who are involved in providing services for markets requiring regulation by the Food and Drug Administration in areas such as food and color additives, medical device testing, pharmaceutical, biological, and electronic products. The program—which is not a substitute for regulatory approval—helps to develop and recognize the achievements of the laboratory to meet GLP requirements.
