The U.S.-E.U. Trade and Technology Council (TTC) has announced that it will host a hybrid joint stakeholder workshop on Working Group 1 – Technology Standards on Friday, November 17, from 9:00 – 11:00 am EST. ANSI encourages all relevant stakeholders to attend this important event.
The workshop is intended to gather input on existing and future areas of transatlantic collaboration in emerging technology standards (i.e., artificial intelligence, green and clean technology, digital identity, etc.). The TTC’s overall objective is to promote U.S. and EU competitiveness and prosperity and the spread of democratic, market-oriented values by increasing transatlantic trade and investment in products and services of emerging technology, strengthening our technological and industrial leadership, boosting innovation, and protecting and promoting critical and emerging technologies and infrastructure.
The event will be held at the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) office in Washington, DC; virtual participation is also available.
In-person participation is limited and registration acceptance is not guaranteed. Additional information, including a final agenda and virtual link, will follow upon registration confirmation. This event is not open to the press.
Stakeholders interested in speaking at this event should indicate their wish to do so on the registration form provided and provide a brief description of intended remarks. Speakers are asked to keep their remarks to between three to five minutes due to time constraints. Interested parties must register their interest to speak no later than Tuesday, November 14, 2023, 12:00 EST. Those selected will be notified at least 48 hours before the event.
Participants may also submit written comments for this event. These can be submitted in addition to or in lieu of a speaking request by emailing [email protected] by Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
