Several trade associations in the wood industry, including ANSI members the Woodworking Machinery Industry Association (WMIA) and the Wood Machinery Manufacturers of America (WMMA), have led the development of a new campaign to increase awareness of wood industry career pathways and attract new talent.

The “You Wood” campaign provides information for two audiences: high school students and adults in their mid-20s to late-30s who seek a career change, including military veterans. These groups and all interested stakeholders can access the You Wood website for career resource information including profiles of high-demand positions, career quizzes, links to educational resources and scholarships, and more.

Several additional ANSI members are participating in the initiative through their membership in the Wood Industry Resource Collaborative (WIRC), including the Composite Panel Association (CPA) and the World Millwork Alliance (WMA). WMIA and WMMA are members of the WIRC as well.
