The American Chemistry Council (ACC) has published a blog post on the increasing interest in advanced plastics recycling and related projects that have been announced by multinational corporations in recent months.

Advanced plastics recycling, or chemical recycling, is a term that includes several technologies that convert post-use plastics into their original building blocks, specialty polymers, feedstocks for new plastics, fuels, waxes, and other valuable products. As awareness of the importance of advanced plastics recycling surges, both companies and policymakers at the state and federal levels have joined the movement. ACC’s blog post provides examples of corporations’ projects and government policies related to advanced plastics recycling.
