The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is collaborating with State Farm to bring awareness to fire safety for Fire Prevention Week.
Held on October 3-9 this year, Fire Prevention Week is an annual public awareness campaign that has been running for nearly 100 years. This year’s theme is “Learn the Sounds of Safety,” focusing on the different sounds that smoke alarms make and how to respond to them. Promotional efforts surrounding the week include toolkits for local fire departments containing brochures, magnets, posters, and more that can be distributed at community events, schools, and open houses. Additional resources are also being donated to educators.
