The Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) has released a series of recommendations to guide state and local government leaders as they implement key cyber provisions of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

The Cyber Action Plan supports leaders in prioritizing and investing the law’s resources in broadband buildout plans and requests for cyber-specific grants. Recommendations include adopting new commercial cyber technologies that have up-to-date cybersecurity measures and safeguards; prioritizing IT modernization and securing line-item budget funding to support this investment; supporting funding for cyber defense capabilities, cybersecurity education, and training and skills development; and more.

The recommendations were sent to governors and key state officials in states including Florida, Texas, California, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Washington. To learn more and read the full list of recommendations, see the ITI news item.
