The UL enterprise has rebranded its three organizations as UL Research Institutes, UL Standards & Engagement, and UL Solutions.

• UL Standards & Engagement is a nonprofit organization that facilitates standards-related public-private partnerships around the world; develops actionable, rigorous safety standards based on data and safety science research; and drives safety advocacy campaigns centered on public safety.
• UL Research Institutes is a nonprofit organization that focuses on independent research into ongoing and emerging safety risks, pursuing scientific discovery to advance public safety.
• UL Solutions in a commercial business that partners with customers and stakeholders to solve safety, security, and sustainability challenges, delivering testing, inspection, and certification services, as well as software products and advisory offerings.
