The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has proposed to amend the Standard for Flammability of Clothing, which provides methods for testing and rating the flammability of textiles and textile products used for clothing. The proposed revisions would clarify existing provisions, expand permissible equipment and materials, and update equipment requirements that are outdated.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is requesting comments on the proposed revisions until November 14, 2022. More information about the revisions can be found in the Federal Register.
