During period poverty awareness week, ISSA – The Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association and the ISSA Hygieia Network will host a webinar on how they support the end to period poverty, how the cleaning industry is impacted, and what is being done to address the issue.

As part of its efforts to solve the issue of period poverty, ISSA is:

• advocating for public policies to help increase access to menstrual care products, dispensers, and disposal solutions in away from home venues;
• educating and engaging the cleaning industry community about period poverty issues; and
• providing proper training related to removing potentially harmful bacteria and blood-borne pathogens in bathroom facilities.

Guest speakers will include Jennifer Gaines, program director at Alliance for Period Supplies, and John Nothdurft, director of government affairs at ISSA.
