The Sustainable Energy Action Committee (SEAC), led by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC), will host a virtual workshop on the safety and risk considerations when permitting energy storage systems (ESS), as U.S. homes, businesses, and other properties are increasingly installing ESS, often paired with solar PV.

The four-hour workshop will examine the background on the technology, safety standards, tests and codes, and common issues with permit applications and plan review. The workshop is designed for building departments, fire departments, installers, and manufacturers, and will include time for Q&A.
