The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies (PMMI) has released a podcast that underscores the benefits of artificial intelligence (AI) and addresses common fears like job loss and the potential for AI misuse.

Guest expert Tom Morrison, CEO, Metal Treating Institute Management, emphasizes that management needs to have a level of confidence in AI so they can help empower and engage their employees to do the same. He also reflects on AI’s impact and use for pattern recognition and data analysis.

“AI with sensors and visual recognition can look at pieces of parts that you're manufacturing and can instantly tell you if it's got a defect or not,” notes Morrison.
