The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) has launched a new Data Center Resources page featuring resources that address various aspects of data center design and operation, including cooling, power distribution, energy efficiency, and thermal management.
The new resource page includes technical materials, including publications, standards, guidelines, and research papers, developed by ASHRAE’s experts. ASHRAE reports that its goal is to empower professionals with the knowledge needed to optimize data center performance and make informed decisions.
The page includes free content, including white papers and technical bulletins, examples of government engagement, ASHRAE Journal articles, ASHRAE Journal podcast, the ASHRAE Datacom Series (providing comprehensive treatment of data center cooling and related subjects), and data center standards and guidance, as well as the ASHRAE Technical Committee 9.9 Datacom Encyclopedia (subscription required).
“With the rapid growth of digital infrastructure, the demand for cloud computing, AI, and big data continues to soar. Efficient cooling systems are essential to cutting operational costs and reducing environmental impact,” said 2024-25 ASHRAE president M. Dennis Knight. “ASHRAE understands the unique challenges of data center cooling and is proud to offer this platform, providing professionals with the latest industry knowledge and resources in one place.”
