The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) has made available a new report, “Improving Groundwater Security in the United States,” published by the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST).
The report was based on recommendations from a series of public meetings across the country and a request for comment, to which NGWA responded.
Several questions were highlighted in the report, including research that is needed to safeguard water security and sustainability, what incentives the federal government can provide to address groundwater quality, and how the federal government could help state and local water managers.
