Overview

The sixth in a series of ANSI-sponsored annual events focused on bringing together leaders of both accredited and non-accredited standards developers, the 2012 Open Forum was held in Washington, DC on October 9, 2012, as part of the World Standards Week series of events.

Open Forum 2012: Building Bridges across the Standards Ecosystem began with a networking lunch followed by a comprehensive program including a keynote address offering perspectives on global trade and market access for standards developers and consortia, an examination of a case study that effectively built standards development infrastructures, and two interactive panels and corresponding discussions covering standards for the global market, and building visibility and credibility throughout the standards ecosystem.

Participants

ANSI members and interested stakeholders including those from government, industry, business, consumer groups, and academia were encouraged to attend and share their perspectives, insights, and expertise on public-private partnerships for building bridges across the standards ecosystem.
