ANSI-ITA Certified Trade Mission

Trade Mission Information

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI), with the support of the U.S. Department of Commerce (DoC) International Trade Administration (ITA), have organized a standards trade mission to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for March 10-13, 2019. The primary goal of the mission is to facilitate increased commercial ties between the U.S. and Gulf markets, particularly Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE), through connections and deeper engagement. This mission intends to support clear, coherent and consistent U.S. messaging in the region and provide opportunities for U.S. organizations to cooperate more effectively with Gulf counterparts on standards-related issues.

Joseph Tretler, ANSI's vice president of international policy will lead the delegation to this ITA-certified trade mission, the first to focus on standards. The delegation also includes the following ANSI members representing a cross section of industries primarily in the sectors of building and construction, water and sanitation, electrical safety, and oil and gas.
